Frequently Asked Questions
What type of paint do you use?
We typically use Sherwin Williams’ paints, and we most frequently use their Low-VOC water-based products. We are not opposed to using other brands of paint based on individual project needs and requirements, but we must stress the fact that we do not have the same familiarity and guarantees with other lines of paint.
Do you do drywall repairs?
On any interior repaint project we expect to perform all necessary minor drywall patches and repairs. We are happy to refer a professional drywaller for anything beyond these small items.
Do you do carpentry repairs?
No, but we are happy to refer professional carpenters with whom we have a great working relationship!
Do you paint or stain decks?
We have painted and stained many decks, but this is not one of our primary areas of focus. Current trends are moving away from traditional decks with pressure treated lumber and towards more durable composite decking materials. We strongly encourage our customers to go this route as the composite materials require much less maintenance and have a much longer lifespan. We are happy to paint or stain any deck old or new, however, but we must stress that deck paints and stains will often not have the desired durability.
Do you epoxy garage floors?
Similar to decks, we have epoxied many garage floors but do not consider it one of our primary areas of focus. Garage floor epoxies often do not hold up well to vehicle traffic, and we do not like providing our customers with a job that may not live up to expectations. A much better (but more expensive) alternative is to have a professional garage company use their polyaspartic floor coating system with a near-lifetime warranty. We are happy to recommend one of these companies.
Do you offer pressure washing services?
We do typically pressure wash prior to painting on many of our exterior projects, but we are not a professional pressure washing company.
Can you assist with color selection?
We are not professional designers, decorators, or color experts. However, since our team members do work with paint color schemes on a daily basis, we are able to make simple suggestions, highlight certain trends, and apply many samples. :)
Do you warranty your work?
We offer a free two-hour touch-up within a 30-day window on all of our large projects, but we do not offer any warranties. We do treat all of our customers as human beings, however, and encourage reaching out with any problems that may arise.
How far in advance should I schedule my project?
As far as possible! During the busiest summer months, our lead time can reach several months. For customers with interior projects, we ask that they consider scheduling for the winter months.
What areas of town do you serve?
Most of our projects are located in the areas of Hyde Park and Indian Hill, but we are happy to serve the entire Greater Cincinnati region.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept checks, cash, online bank transfers, Venmo, PayPal, and are even happy to occasionally barter. We do not currently accept credit cards. Pay an Invoice
